Furloughed journalist sought

I hired a virtual assistant recently to do some work for me, and I have another short project where I need help from someone who is fast, efficient and knows a little about journalism. But before hiring a VA, I’d rather help out a fellow journalist and I’m giving first preference to any furloughed journalists who are looking for a little extra work.
The work won’t last long, although if you do a good job you’ll get high priority if more such work comes along and you’re still interested. After all, for the second time in two weeks I find myself so busy that I need help doing this project.
I don’t want to get into details of the project here, but will say that it should take no more than four or five hours, possibly less, and involves searching on the Internet for information I need. It can be done at home during any hours you prefer. I hope to have the work done by the end of the month — which leaves 1 week. Pay is $20 an hour — payable by PayPal, check or in cash if you live in Concord and I can pay you in person.
I’d like to hire a furloughed journalist, or a former journalist, because they’ll have some expertise I need for this project. It’s mostly a clerical task, but should be interesting enough and easy enough to fill a few productive hours of your time. If I can’t find a journalist, then a college student or professional virtual assistant would also be great.
I ask that you not forward this job request everywhere, since I don’t plan on responding to every inquiry, and would like to hire someone quickly. If interested, either respond to this blog post or e-mail me. You must be able to read, write and speak English, and live in the United States.
